The importance of the small fruited lime in Iran

 

The small fruited lime is one of the most important economic horticultural crops in the southern part of Iran. Iran’s global portion of lime production is near 40 % and the lime is cultivated on about 41,800 hectares. Fifty percent of the national production of limes is located in Hormozgan province with 19,100 hectares under cultivation.
